Warsaw Modlin Airport car hire, tailor-made for you

Warsaw is Poland’s “reborn” city, brimming with art, music and culture. After being virtually flattened in World War II, it has been rebuilding itself ever since. Today it is once again an attractive, lively and energetic capital city. Pick up your Avis rental car at Warsaw Modlin Airport and start your road trip across Poland.

We make car rental easy, because we know you can’t wait to feel the freedom of the road and get the very most out of your stay. Wherever your travels take you, the keys are waiting for you to unlock the world.

Beyond Warsaw

Poland boasts some fascinating historical attractions. Conveniently, many of them can be found just beyond Warsaw.

Treblinka

Drive 90 minutes on the S8 and DW694 to reach Treblinka, a location that holds sizeable historical significance as it was the site of the second largest World War II Nazi concentration camp. Today, you'll find a memorial in the form of a granite monolith, standing in remembrance of all those who lost their lives - as well as guided historical tours, and a museum which documents the events of the time.

Lublin

Lublin is a two-hour drive from Warsaw on the DK17/E372. This small city is a favourite for many travellers and Lublin Castle tends to be its main draw. Spend time in the Rynek, a special area of town surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Explore the Old Square and pause for photos at Krakowska Gate.

Lodz

Drive for 90 minutes on the A2 from Warsaw and arrive in Lodz. This town started booming in the early 1900s, thanks to its textile industry. Spend time on Piotrkowska Street, the longest shopping boulevard in Poland. Visit Ksiezy Mlyn, with its former factory complex, and the largest Jewish cemetery in Europe. Be sure to stop by the Poznanski Palace, which impresses with its grandeur.

Poland has a wealth of sights and attractions to offer visitors, in both its big cities and small towns. Get behind the wheel of your Avis hire car and take it all in.
